- Sources Sought for Manufacture of the 155mm Cannon Assemblies Purpose: The Army Contracting Command (ACC) New Jersey, Picatinny Arsenal, NJ 07806-5000 is conducting a Market Survey on behalf of the Joint Program Manager Office Towed Artillery Systems (JPMO-TAS) to identify potential sources for manufacture of 155mm cannon assemblies. Description: This Sources Sought is for planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a solicitation or an obligation on the part of JPMO-TAS or RDECOM-ARDEC. Responses are requested to be restricted to United States based companies with manufacturing capabilities for large caliber 155mm cannon assemblies within the United States. Non-US sources will not be reviewed as they are not responsive to this Sources Sought. Sources are sought with the capabilities to manufacture the following cannon assemblies: M776 Cannon Assembly (39 Caliber, Breech, Cannon Tube, Muzzle Brake) Extended Range Cannon Tube (55 caliber) All interested vendors are requested to provide a statement of capability describing the vendor's capability to manufacture, inspect and qualify a rifled, 155mm, artillery cannon with both partial and fully chrome plated bores. This statement of capabilities shall include a description of facilities, equipment, personnel and other capabilities to produce these items within the United States. Technical Data for these items can only be made to US Companies that are certified through the Joint Certification Program (JCP). Prior to receiving the technical data companies are required to provide the capability statement to ascertain their capabilities to produce these items. Companies that are lacking cannon manufacturing capabilities will not be granted access to this critical technical data even if those companies are JCP certified due to the critical nature of the technical data. Additionally, any recipient of technical data for the cannon assemblies will be required to sign Non-Disclosure Agreements prior to receiving the technical data. Upon receipt of the technical data, the Government request information on production lead time, manufacturing rates and ROM cost estimates. Submissions that are not fully compliant with all requirements are also encouraged so that JPMO-TAS and RDECOM-ARDEC may assess the capabilities of all currently available sources. The Government recognizes that proprietary and/or classified data may be a part of this effort. If so, clearly mark such restricted/proprietary and classified data and present them as an addendum to the nonrestricted/non-proprietary and unclassified information. As a result of this Sources Sought a Request For Proposal (RFP) may be issued to acquire the supplies. Participation in this Sources Sought is completely voluntary by the vendor and as such all costs to develop the vendor's response are to be borne by the participating vendor. All interested sources are encouraged to submit their abilities/capabilities no later than 15 days from date of this publication to: Klaudia A.
