- This announcement is for the purpose of market research only and may or may not translate into an actual procurement(s) in future years. The federal government is researching the availability of vessels of the type below. Hull: Aluminum Hull Form: V hull Length: 48 to 52 feet Beam: 15 to 17 feet Draft: 4.5 feet maximum Power Plant: Twin Diesel Speed: Approximately 30 knots Cabin: Full Cabin Primary Use: Hydrographic Survey Should a solicitation be issued based on responses to this survey, it is anticipated that such a solicitation would be of the Best Value variety. The basis of an award in the Best Value acquisition would not be solely upon price but on other factors as well to include, but not limited to, experience, designated technical features and past performance. If interested please provide information on your vessel(s) detailing the information above. In addition, please provide a brief description of your corporate history, experience on vessels of this type and identify the designated business class (large, small, 8A) under which you operate.
