- Description
- FORGE SpEC Charts SpEC Industry Day Charts *** UPDATE 4 April 2018 *** Attention to all interested companies/organizations: SMC has decided to pursue an iterative prototyping strategy for the FORGE Mission Data Processing Application Framework (MDPAF) and the FORGE Mission Data Processing Applications Provider (MDPAP) efforts. In support of this, SMC is targeting to award 3 prototyping transactions for each effort using the SMC Space Enterprise Consortium (SpEC) Other Transaction Authority (OTA). Following the initial prototyping efforts, SMC plans to award the next prototype iteration to the contractor that develops the best prototype for each effort. The follow-on iteration contractor will then provide the complete set of capabilities for each effort. All interested contractors, to include small and small disadvantaged business, should reference the attached SpEC Industry Day charts for further information on proposing under the SpEC OTA and should note that the SpEC OTA is the ONLY opportunity to propose on the MDPAF and MDPAP efforts. The size standard for NAICS 541715 is 1,250 employees. SMC is currently in the process of moving forward with MDPAF and plans to release a call for MDPAP at a later date. Included in this announcement are: (1) SpEC Industry Day Charts and (2) FORGE SpEC Charts. *** UPDATE 7 August 2017 *** This brief was presented, to the attendee list provided, in the One-on-One meetings with the Government, taking place 5-7 June 2017 at 200 N Sepulveda Blvd, Suite 1800, El Segundo, CA, 90245. The Questions asked during the meetings, and the government-provided answers, will not be posted. No question or answer provided valuable supplemental information that was not already included in the Request for Information. ***************** This RFI, at Attachment 1, seeks industry concepts on (1) developing an open framework MDP architecture, (2) designing, building, and delivering third-party compatible applications, and (3) an integrator responsible for the integration, verification, and testing of the MDP architecture and infrastructure. Additional instructions and information is included in the attachment. This RFI is intended for market research only; it does not contain the Government's need dates or specific requirements.
