Description
Sources Sought Notice For FLETC Cape Chalmers in Charleston, SC THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT to accomplish market research pursuantto Federal Acquisition Regulation Part 10, and to identify small businesses capable of and interested in performing the functions described herein. The Maritime Administration MARAD), Division of Atlantic Operations, Norfolk, VA is requesting information regarding the availability and feasibility of attracting small businesses with proven technical capability and experience in the following area: Tugs Docking Pilots Line Handlers MARAD anticipates issuing an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) of harbor support services and ship handling for the region to include the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center ((FLETC)/ MARAD training vessel Cape Chalmers at Charleston, SC, for a one year base period and four, one year option periods. The Cape Chalmers is an inactive ship permanently moored at Pier Q, FLETC facility in Charleston, SC. The contractor shall furnish labor, supervision, equipment, and transportation to provide tug, docking pilot, and line handling to support various Government requirements per a task order against the contract. The services are primarily intended to support heavy weather preparation, contingency, and recovery operations, but may also be required for routine harbor support services.
