- SPECIAL NOTICE INVENTORY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM The San Francisco VA Health Care System (SFVA), 4150 Clement Street, San Francisco, CA 94121 has a requirement for a Cardinal Inventory Management System. Market Research shows there may be other brands available besides Cardinal Healthcare. Contracting is requesting companies that can satisfy this requirement to respond by April 10, 2018, 1400 PST. They must be prepared to submit a quotation within 2 days of a request for quotation being issued. If no responses are received or if responses are not acceptable, an award will be made on a sole source basis to Cardinal Health or its authorized distributor. All interested parties shall respond shall submit their questions, brochure, technical specification and delivery/installation timeframe to Shannon Archer, Contract Specialist, Shannon.Archer@va.gov. Background The SFVA requires the system to improve workflow and supply/implant management for the operating room in one hospital and one department. The objective is to have greater visibility on what is VA owned/Vendor owned. The purchase of Cardinal Health Inventory Management Cabinets will assist with inventory tracking and control. It is a system that consist of cabinets (smart cabinets), inventory tools (Smart Wand), point of use stations, and tagging stations. Any new equipment must be compatible with Wavemark cabinets currently in use in the operating room. Requirement Characteristics To meet the needs of the Medical Center, the equipment must meet the following requirements: Provide a cost effective and safer observation and communication solution to inventory management needs throughout the Medical Center. Contain a 5-shelf smart open cabinet, with the capacity to hold catheters, implants and supplies. Utilizes RFID technology for tracking supplies/items at each inventory level. Allow for RFID Smart Cabinet data transmission using the Ethernet Connection. Include Hand Held Smart Wands, Point of Use Stations, and Tagging Stations. The only requirement is a power source and Ethernet connection. Easily configurable and changeable with product packaging Unit of Measure, restocking/reordering processes, and clinical preferences. System with barcode technology, and RFID Tags. 24/7 support and Go Live technical and clinical support, all applicable licenses. The system must include Professional Services consisting of Consulting & Execution Guidance Equipment Description & Part Numbers (Quantities are Attached) 5 Shelf RFID Enabled Smart Cabinets.
