Description
This is a Sources Sought notice. This is NOT a solicitation for proposals, proposal abstracts, or quotations. The purpose of this notice is to obtain information regarding the availability and capability of all qualified sources regardless of socioeconomic background to perform a potential requirement. Background: Lexington, KY VAMC Cooper Division has a need for a Climate Control Chamber. Purpose and Objectives: Your responses to the information requested will assist the Government in determining the appropriate acquisition method. NAICS code: 333415 and sized standard is 1,250 employees. NOTE: Respondent claiming SDVOSB and VOSB status must be registered and CVE verified in VetBiz Registry www.vetbiz.gov. Project requirements: Lexington VA Medical Center s Research Laboratory requires a Climate Control Chamber with the following specifications: Unit temperature must be able to reach and sustain at least 0-40 degrees C Unit humidity must be able to reach and sustain 0-90% relative humidity Unit temperature and humidity factors must be able to sustain parameters for 3 months Unit must be able to house at least 10 rodent cages at one time. Unit must have self-timer to allow for a set on/off lighting cycle Unit must have ability to control air exchange rates Unit must have automatic shut off controls in place should overheating/undercooling parameters be reached. Anticipated period of performance: NA Other important considerations: The device must be able to house rodents. Capability statement /information sought: Response to this announcement shall not to exceed 3 pages and be provided electronically in Microsoft Word or Adobe PDF format. A list of what can be provided; If items are not the same as the above, then identify the comparable product with details of its offerings/specs/features.
