Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Integrated Service Network (VISN 2), James J. Peters VA Medical Center, Bronx, New York, intends to negotiate on a sole source basis (IAW FAR 13.106-1) with Abbott Molecular, Inc. This acquisition is being conducted under the FAR 13.1 Simplified Acquisition Procedures. VA NJ Healthcare System (NJHCS) has a requirement for HIV Viral Load, HCV Viral Load and HCV genotyping Cost Per Reportable Result (CPRR) testing, inclusive of the lease of equipment and the provision of all consumables as well as the maintenance service needed for the effective operation of the equipment. This method will allow for pricing per reportable result on reagents for processing patient HIV Viral Load, HCV Viral Load and HCV genotyping on the Abbott Architect m2000 analyzer. The intended procurement will be classified under North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) 334516 with a Small Business Size Standard of 1,000 employees. NAICS 334516 is NOT on the SBA Class Waiver List under FSC 6550 nor will SBA issue a Non Manufacturer Waiver for this requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation document exists for this requirement. Parties interested in responding to this notice shall submit technical data, including cost, sufficient to determine capability in providing the same product. The capabilities statement must provide clear and unambiguous evidence to substantiate the capability of the party to provide the required supplies and/or services. All capability statements received by closing of this notification will be considered. When responding to this announcement, respondents should refer to Announcement 36C24218Q0136 - Notice of Intent. A determination not to compete based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The Government anticipates the award of a firm-fixed- price contract. Based on the above information, the only company able to sell the required platform is Abbott Molecular, Inc.
