- This Sources Sought/Request for Information (RFI) is being completed in accordance with FAR 15.201. This notice is for market research, planning purposes only and does not constitute a commitment on the part of the Government to award a contract or enter into any agreements, nor does the Government intend to pay for any information submitted as a result of this notice. This RFI is for market research purposes and is part of a continuous process for obtaining the latest information on the commercial status of the industry with respect to their current and near-term abilities. The information provided herein is subject to change and in no way binds the Government to solicit for, or award, a competitive contract or to enter into any user agreements. It is emphasized that this is a notice solely for planning and informational purposes. Based on the information gathered from this RFI, the contracting officer may change the NAICS. At this time the suggested NAICS codes assigned to this procurement are 541340, and 541310. To ensure the widest dissemination to interested vendors this RFI is being posted multiple times. Interested vendors need only respond to one of the following RFIs: 36C10G18Q9080, 36C10G18Q9081, 36C10G18Q9082, 36C10G18Q9083, 36C10G18Q9084, 36C10G18Q9085, 36C10G18Q9086, or 36C10G18Q9087. Please see attachment for additional details regarding this RFI. BACKGROUND: The Veterans Health Administration (VHA) lacks accurate and complete architectural documentation across the real property portfolio to manage and track information about its facilities. In particular, up-to-date information, including accurate room and space layouts, square footage, functional use, responsible department, and other information has become critically important to VA s ability to manage and report on capital and real estate assets effectively. Accurate spatial information is also important to enable VA s ability to track medical inventory and equipment. The lack of accurate records has also hampered the ability to provide correct baseline information for ongoing physical changes to the facilities when new architectural and engineering services are required. VA is seeking responses from companies with existing business knowledge and experience to determine the best level of effort, business processes, costs, and technologies to provide accurate, contemporary, up-to-date spatial layout and spatial data (e.g., room details such as Department Ownership, Net Square Footage and Departmental Gross Square Footage, functional use) for existing facilities under its stewardship. If your company believes it can meet the VA s need, please see the attachment to learn how to submit a response to this RFI. COMMENT/RESPONSES ARE DUE: April 24, 2018 by 5:00PM, Eastern Daylight Time (EDT). All responses under this Special Notice must be emailed to brian.love@va.gov, marcus.butler@va.gov, and mike.carrick@va.gov. Do not send any material that requires a non-disclosure agreement.
