- Description
- Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility intends to award a sole source contract under the authority 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, "Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements." The Government intends to award the contract to Instron to calibrate equipment in accordance with current OEM guidelines and appropriated American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) standards and provide National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) traceable certificates for all standards and measuring equipment used to verify items: •· Tinius Olsen 400,000 Pound Capacity Super "L" Universal Testing Machine with 5500 Static Hydraulic Retrofit •· Instron 225,000 Pound Capacity, 1000 HDX-C4-G1B Hydraulic Universal Testing Machine •· Instron Wilson Series 2000 Hardness Tester •· Tinius Olsen Charpy Model 84 Universal Impact Testing Machine •· Instron Model 1125 Universal Testing Instrument with 5500 Electromechanical Retrofit System •· Wilson Instruments Tukon Series 200 B-Model Micro Hardness Tester •· Wilson Instruments Tukon Series 200 B-Model Micro Hardness Tester •· LECO AMH43 Automatic Micro/Macro Indentation Hardness Testing System These instrument controlling software are proprietary and not available by other means for support and maintenance. The proprietary software can only be modified/adjusted by authorized Instron technicians who are specially trained on its application. This is not a request for proposals. Any interested party that believes it can satisfy this requirement may submit a written capability statement. Telephonic responses are not allowed. To be evaluated for technical merit and capability, statements must be received by the stated deadline. In determining whether or not to compete this requirement, the Government has sole discretion.
