ANSWERS TO RFIs_4-17-2018 Q - Is it possible to review the current contract in place? Will the government provide the current number of Contractor personnel working on the cleaning teams? A - The purpose of this new contract is to meet the need of the increase of Janitorial coverage as stated in the SOW. The number of Janitorial staff range from 2-4 depending on his staffing and clearance. The SOW is in the current contract with the owner of the leased space, I do not manage that contract or the element of that contract.  The purpose of this new contract is to separate it from the lease and improve the quality of Janitorial needs at the HONOR Center. The contractor should purpose enough workers to meet the requirements of the SOW. Q - Janitorial Staffing and Communication Requirements: Sentence states. The Walkie-talkie is not to remain on-site at all times. QUESTION: Should the sentence read; The walkie-talkie is MUST remain on-site at all times ? A Yes. The walkie-talkie is to remain on site. Q - Selection of Cleaning Products: Paragraph a) states, The Janitorial Contractor company is responsible for providing all cleaning products, equipment, and services. The selection of supplies shall adhere to the NF/SG VHS, the HONOR Center / Domiciliary, Environmental Services, Environment of Care, Logistics, and federal policies and procedures. The Janitorial Contractor must maintain and adjust supply levels to match usage ensuring adequate supplies are continuously on hand. Will the government provide a list of the current products used to the successful contractor that adhere to the NF/SG VHS, the HONOR Center / Domiciliary, Environmental Services, Environment of Care, Logistics, and federal policies and procedures, or will the government ensure that under the FAR 52.237-3 Continuity of Services (Jan 1991) A The Vendor may use any proposed cleaning product if it is approved by the HONOR Center management. Q will the incumbent pass on to the successful contractor either by sale or provide a list with stock numbers and descriptive information of the products used and the vendors where the supplies are currently purchased? A the current supply of products is the property of the incumbent contractor. The contractor selected by the government is free to negotiate with the incumbent to purchase the current stock of supplies. Q - Nursing Station and Medication Room:   QUESTION: Does the janitorial staff have to wear protective mask or equipment while cleaning patients medical room? A - No, these are not sterile areas.
