- THIS IS A PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE ONLY. The National Park Service, East Major Acquisition Buying Office, intends to issue a Solicitation to replace the outdated lighting system in the museum and areas within the Visitor Center at Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park (KEMO) located in Kennesaw, GA. SOLICITATION NUMBER: 140P5118R0015. The primary objectives of the project are to: analyze the existing lighting, recommend install an energy efficient LED lighting system in the museum which will include a fiber optic system to illuminate cases and exhibits, and dimmers/switches (for zone control and proximity), LED lighting for the lobby, bookstore, and office areas, and to furnish and install the lighting. A detailed Statement of Work (SOW) will be provided with the solicitation documents. This procurement will be 100% set-aside for Small Businesses. The NAICS code is 335129. The small business standard is 500. All interested offers MUST have an active vendor record in SAM.gov, be a small business under the identified NAICS code and NOT have any exclusions such as a delinquent federal debt or debarment. SITE VISIT: Only one (1) site visit is scheduled for this action on 30 April 2018 at 1000(ET) at the Visitor Center at Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park located at 900 Kennesaw Mt. Rd Kennesaw, GA. Details will be provided with the solicitation. Any questions must be received via email by 1700 on 22 May 2018 to Celinda_hicks@nps.gov. TYPE OF CONTRACT: A firm-fixed-price contract is expected to be awarded towards the end of May. Note: Davis Bacon prevailing wages for Cobb County, Georgia will apply. The Government intends to award (1) one contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation, will be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered. The solicitation will be posted on FBO.gov (Federal Business Opportunities) on or about 24 April 2018. This date is subject to change. Hard copy documents including drawings will not be available - all available documents will be posted for download. Offers will be due approximately 30 days after issuance of solicitation unless extended by amendment. This notice is for informational purposes only and is not a request for submission of offers. The Government is not obligated to issue a solicitation as a result of this notice. No other information is available until issuance of the solicitation. After issuance of solicitation, send any inquires via email to celinda_hicks@nps.gov by 1700 (ET) on 22 May 2018. NO oral questions will be accepted. NOTE: No additional information is available until the solicitation is released. No bidder list is maintained by the Contracting Officer, however, you can add your name to the "Interested vendors" in the solicitation and the system will notify you of any update.
