- Amendment 0001-See the following: a)Delivery of the Boom Logs has been changed to 07/30/2018. b)Question: "What is the criteria for a log to "float"? And what happens if it fails to float to the Government's satisfaction?" Answer: A fresh cut Doug Fir log within the quoted specifications will float when placed entirely in a body of water. When the log floats, it will naturally "right" itself and choose which way it will float, usually belly down. If it is a fresh cut log is within the specifications listed, it will float to our satisfaction (unless they fill it with lead or cut trees that are not Doug Fir.) c)Response date has been extended to Friday, 04/20/2018 at 4:30p, PT. If you made changes to your quote due to the change in Amendment 0001, please sign and date the amendment and email it to nadine_joe@nps.gov. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-97 effective 01/24/2018. It is the contractor's responsibility to be familiar with applicable clauses and provisions. Clauses and provisions can be found at https://www.acquisition.gov/far/52. The solicitation number is 140P8318Q0046 and the solicitation is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The NAICS code is 113310, Logging, with an associated small business size standard of 500 employees. This solicitation is a 100% total small business set-aside, and will result in a firm fixed price contract to a single vendor determined to be responsive and responsible. Also, you must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) website: https://www.sam.gov/. DESCRIPTION. Contractor shall provide 150 Boom Logs for the Lake Roosevelt National Recreation Area. SPECIFICATIONS & SCOPE OF WORK: SEE ATTACHMENT 1. DELIVERY ADDRESS. The contractor will finish the delivery of logs to the Coulee Dam and Kettle Falls addresses. Spring Canyon WITHIN 5 MILES FROM 1008 Crest Drive Coulee Dam, WA 99116 Kettle Falls WITHIN 5 MILES FROM 1368 Kettle Park Road Kettle Falls, WA 99141 PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE. Contractor must be able to deliver within the following dates: 04/20/2018 through 06/30/2019. The Contracting Officer ¿s Representative will schedule the service/delivery with the contractor. PRICE SCHEDULE. Pricing must include fully burdened rates for labor and delivery costs.
