Description
THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE FOR INFORMATION AND ACQUISITION PLANNING PURPOSES. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE (RFQ) AND A FORMAL SOLICITATION IS NOT AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME. THIS NOTICE DOES NOT CONSTITUTE A COMMITMENT BY THE GOVERNMENT TO ISSUE AN RFQ, CONTRACT, OR ORDER. Any contractors who wish to identify their interest and capability to provide this product must provide product specifications, performance and delivery information by notifying the Contract Specialist no later than 2:00 PM Eastern Time, April 30, 2018. Notification shall be e-mailed to aubreigh.sumner@us.af.mil. Please provide your company's business size, CAGE Code, if you are capable of meeting this requirement. DESCRIPTION OF WORK Fabrication of two (2) ship access brows and turntables in accordance with NAVFAC Drawings 15111802 through 15111807 with an option for up to three (3) additional brows. • The contractor shall have a minimum of five (5) years' experience in the fabrication of ship access brows or comparable trestle access structures. • The contractor shall establish and maintain a Quality Control program to manage the fabrication quality and testing. The contractors Quality Control Plan shall address submittal procedures and reviews, testing procedures, inspections, procedures to complete rework items, shipping/handling and storage information. • During fabrication the Government shall perform quality assurance focused on submittal reviews and periodic inspections. The contractor shall allow for up to two (2) Government inspections, each with up to two (2) Government representatives, during fabrication. One inspection at approximately 50% completion, and one at 100% completion combined with the opportunity to witness load testing and fit-up testing discussed in Section 7. Upon completion of fabrication and prior to delivery, each brow shall be (1) fit-up tested and (2) statically load tested. The Government shall be allowed the opportunity to witness both of these tests.
