- Description
- The Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) intends to award a sole-source contract to the Caesar Rodney School District in Camden-Wyoming, Delaware. DoDEA requires comprehensive education services (Kindergarten-12th grade) for Department of Defense (DoD) and other eligible dependents residing on Dover AFB. The required services also include full responsibility for managing and maintaining the government-provided school facilities, operating a student meal program, providing special education services as needed, providing the full scope of extracurricular / co-curricular activities, and providing student transportation. The service provider must be recognized by the State of Delaware's Secretary of Education to operate schools, grades K-12, in the State of Delaware. More specifically, the services are required for approximately 520 students that will be attending class in Dover AFB's elementary and middle schools as well as high school facilities located off the installation. The period of performance is for one 12-month base with one12-month option period. This requirement is being solicited in accordance with FAR part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items and FAR part 15, Contracting by Negotiation. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, any party that believes it is capable of meeting this requirement as stated herein may submit a written capability statement that clearly supports and demonstrates the party's ability to perform the requirement by the response date. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
