- Description
- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Galveston District Office requires a contract for: Matagorda Ship Channel, Texas, Peninsula to Point Comfort in Matagorda and Calhoun Counties, Texas, Pipeline Dredging. The work consists of Schedule No. 1 - Pipeline dredging of the Matagorda Ship Channel and the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway Intersection. Approximately 2,000,000 cubic yards for the southern portion of the Matagorda Ship Channel from Sta. 15+000 to 65+000; Option No. 1 - Approx. 1,500,000 CY for the northern portion of the Matagorda Ship Channel from Sta. 65+000 to Sta. 118+502; Option No. 2 - 153,000 CY for Port Private Berthing Areas and Option No. 3 - approx. 300,000 CY for Gulf Intracoastal Waterway Intersection. Completion time for Schedule No. 1 is 145 calendar days/600,000 CY per month. Completion time for Options 1-3 if exercised are as follow: Option No. 1, 75 calendar days, Option No. 2, 20 calendar days and Option No. 3, 20 calendar days. If the contractor fails to complete the work within the time specified, the contractor shall pay liquidated damages to the Government in the amount of $3,643.00 for each calendar day of delay until the work is completed or accepted. The contractor will be required to provide Performance and Payment Bonds within (5) calendar days after award. The contractor shall commence work within (10) calendar days after the date the Contractor receives the Notice to Proceed. The Solicitation issued will be Firm Fixed Price. The magnitude of this project is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000.00. The solicitation is advertised as "Unrestricted" full and open competition for both large and small businesses. The Solicitation will be Issued on or about 24 May 2018. Response date is 26 June 2018 @ 2:00 PM (Electronic bids only via AMRDEC Safe). The estimated award date for this project is August 2018. ATTENTION TO OFFEROR(s)/CONTRACTOR(s): On July 14, 2014, Small Business Administration (SBA) increased the monetary-based industry size standards to account for inflation. You must update your Representations (Reps) and Certifications (Certs) for the impacted North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) codes identified with an exclamation point "!" next to the "Small Business" value in the System for Award Management (SAM). Please log into SAM, review, and resubmit your registration to apply the new size standard. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code applicable to this project is 237990. The Small Business Size Standard is $27.5 Million.
