Description
Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) Mid-Atlantic (MID-LANT), Public Works Department (PWD), Facilities Engineering and Acquisition Division (FEAD) Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek / Fort Story is sponsoring an Industry Day for Construction and Construction Related Services on 16 May 2018. The Industry Day will be held at FEAD JEB Little Creek / Fort Story, 1450 Gator Blvd, BLDG. 3165, Virginia Beach, VA 23459. The purpose of the Industry Day is to provide an opportunity for companies to present capabilities and ask questions in one-on-one sessions. Interested 8(a) Small Business concerns, Joint ventures, teaming arrangements, strategic alliances, or other small business arrangements are encouraged to present their ability to satisfy requirements of various Construction projects at JEBLC/FS, Wallops, Fort AP Hill and Fort Pickett. NAVFAC is seeking capable contractors with positive DoD past performance in the following areas or disciplines: Electrical, Mechanical, Roofing, HVAC, and General Construction ranging from $2,000.00 to $5 Million. Contractors must have knowledge of EM-385 and Post-Award performance requirements. Contractor must be able to clearly demonstrate ability to work Design Build (D/B), Design-Bid-Build (DBB), and small statement of work projects. Firms that wish to present to NAVFAC shall provide their capability statements and presentations via email by May 10, 2018. Presentations must include the following: Capabilities Statements, Self-Performance Percentages, Past Performance, Relevant Projects of various construction activities from small projects (2-5 projects from $25,000.00 to $150,000.00) to large projects (2-5 projects from $150,000.00 to $5 Million). In addition to relevant past performance we are requesting evaluations from previous Contracting Officer Representatives (CORs) as well as ability to manage projects (Safety, Sub-Contract Management, Schedule Adherence, Budget Controls, and Teaming Arrangements). Small Business Construction Contractors (Prime Only) interested in working within our Area of Responsibility (AOR) will present capabilities to the Contracting, Construction Management, and Engineering staff. Each Contractor will participate in a one-on-one session limited to 30 minutes to present capabilities. If presenting by power point, please ensure that firms bring their own projector and equipment. If additional discussion is required NAVFAC will schedule a meeting to speak with individually selected firms at a later date to discuss prospects. Transparency and communication is critical. The industry day briefings are all unclassified. Selected registered attendees will be limited to 15 small business firms that respond to the Contracting Officer provided the request adheres to the instructions below and the capabilities meet the above the requirements. NAVFAC will evaluate the capability statements received by May 10, 2018 and select individual firms to hold one-on-one meetings with on May 16, 2018. Questions and answers presented will not be recorded and posted. Accordingly, information will NOT be treated as proprietary. This announcement should not be construed as a Request for Proposal (RFP) or a commitment by the U.S. Government. The U.S. Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this Industry Day. Any cost incurred to attend the Industry Day will be at the contractor ™s expense. Please submit the following information for each individual no later than close of business 10 May 2018 to pre-register for Industry Day. In addition contractors shall request access to JEBLC/FS by submitting a one-day base access request when registering for the industry. See attached base access request form. Directions and additional information will be provided to the registrants. There is no registration fee. Submit questions in an organized manner directly in the e-mail text. Label each question with a general subject matter reference. 3. Keep questions brief and to the point. 4. Do not send information marketing a companys capabilities. 5. DO NOT FORGET TO SUBMIT A ONE-DAY BASE ACCESS REQUEST.
