THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) ONLY # W91QF0189999 TITLE: Mindfulness Training for Military Leaders This is a REQUEST FOR INFORMATION notice. This notice is issued solely for information and planning purposes - it does not constitute a Request for Quote (RFQ)/Invitation for Bid (IFB)/Request for Proposal (RFP) or a promise to issue an RFQ, IFB or RFP in the future. This notice does not commit the U.S. Government to contract for any supply or service. Further, the U.S. Government is not seeking quotes, bids or proposals at this time and will not accept unsolicited proposals in response to this sources sought notice. The U.S. Government will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this notice. Submittals will not be returned to the responder. Not responding to this notice does not preclude participation in any future RFQ or IFB or RFP, if any is issued. It is the responsibility of potential offerors to monitor the Governmentwide Point of Entry for additional information pertaining to this requirement. Government does not presently intend to award a contract, but wants to obtain Information to help determine if the requirement is commercially available, including pricing information, basis for the pricing information. No proprietary, classified, confidential, or sensitive information should be included in your response. The Government reserves the right to use any non-proprietary technical information in any resultant solicitation(s). The purpose of this notice is to obtain information regarding: (1) The availability and capability of any sources qualified to perform the work described; and(2) The availability and capability of qualified small business sources, including HUBZone small businesses, service-disabled, veteran-owned small businesses, 8(a) small businesses, veteran-owned small businesses, woman-owned small businesses, or small disadvantaged businesses. Background: Government is looking for capable contractors to develop, implement, and assess a program of Mindfulness Training (MT) for military leaders and leader-spouses which includes education, practical exercises, and web-facilitated post-course delivery and assessment of a formal mindfulness-based attention training (MBAT) program for students, and spouses where applicable, in Army War College Senior Leader Education and Army Strategic Education Program courses. The program must educate on the applicable science, methods of exercise to implement into their daily lives, and provide an evidence-based formal mindfulness program that is made accessible to leaders, as well as training and evaluation tools and metrics tied to delivery of the MBAT program. Curriculum, course work, exercises, and assessments must thoroughly prepare students to understand and implement mindfulness practice and principles (based on what they have learned from the MBAT program) into their professional lives as Army executives, and they must leave the courses with a vision for how to develop and implement a personal plan to improve mental focus and resiliency through MBAT. MBAT education provided to AWC courses must be conducted by an experienced and renowned expert in the field of Mindfulness who has extensive experience working with active duty U.S. Army and military cohorts in evidenced based training courses. Capability Statement/Information Sought- Government is requesting interested qualified sources to provide a capability statement in a commonly used format, such as Microsoft Word or pdf. This capability statement shall be no more than five pages, excluding a cover page and table of contents, and shall include examples of similar work that has been completed successfully, including a description of the similar work. Please make sure any submission also includes 1. Name of the firm, point of contact, phone number, email address, DUNS number, CAGE code, a statement regarding small business status (including small business type(s)/certifications(s) such as SDB, 8(a), HUBZone, SDVOSB, WOSB, etc.) and the corresponding NAICS code. 2. Identify whether your firm would be interested in competing for this requirement as a prime contractor or not. 3. Information to help determine if the requirement is commercially available, including pricing information.
