- Amendment A00004, 36C26118Q0532 AMENDMENT TO SOLICITATION, Continuation The purpose of this amendment is to address questions received in response to the solicitation. Questions (Q) and Answers (A): Q1. Are there any site specific delivery restrictions? This would include security forms, background checks, or off hour deliveries? A1. Security forms and background checks will be waived for this procurement because of the short duration required for installation. Fifty percent of the items shall be delivered outside of normal VA operating hours from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. Pacific Standard Time, as agreed upon by the contractor and VA interior designer. All other work will be conducted during normal VA operating hours. (Please see Amendment A00005.) Q2. Will the VA provide coordination with electrical and data teams for wiring of workstations where applicable? A2. Yes, the VA will provide coordination with the electrical and data teams for wiring of workstations. Q3. Will freestanding items (ie. bookcases, file cabinets, etc.) need to be secured to walls for a seismic installation? A3. Yes, bookcases, lockers, and laterals over 60 tall will need to be seismically braced. Specifically Line items 28, 29, and 32 will need to be seismically braced. Q4. Will backing be provided for wall mounted items, specifically item number 35 (wall mounted tables) that is listed in the Price Cost Schedule of Supplies and Services? A4. A surface mounted backing plate will be provided for the installation of item number 35 (wall mounted tables). Also, the VA will provide coordination and support as needed for sufficient anchoring. Q5. What is the estimated number of days planned for installation of all items? A5. Installation should take approximately ten (10) business days (Monday through Friday). A more definite timeline will be provided after award of the contract, and once the contractor reviews and walks through the site(s) with the VA interior designer.
