Description
Amend Description and information date due. This is an AMENDED SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS and is not a solicitation announcement. The purpose of this Market Research and Sources Sought Notice is to gain knowledge of qualified Business. Responses to this Sources Sought Synopsis will be used by the government in making appropriate acquisition decisions. The Bureau of Reclamation, Pacific Northwest Region, anticipates a future procurement for the removal and replacement of 5 existing cranes at the Hungry Horse Facility, Hungry Horse, MT This project will be a Firm-Fixed Price supply/construction contract. The principal component of the work to be performed under these specifications is the removal and disposal of the 5 old cranes and furnish and installation of 5 new modernized cranes - (2) 290 ton bridge cranes located in the generator bay of the powerplant (each crane has two 145 ton main hooks, and two 30 ton auxilary hooks); (1) 25 Ton bridge crane with 5 Ton auxiliary hook, located in the machine shop of the powerplant; (1) 125 Ton gantry crane with 25 Ton auxiliary hook, located on top of the dam; and (1) 40 Ton bridge crane located in the outlet works valve house. The contractor will be responsible for proper removal and disposal of all material in accordance with all applicable State, Local and Federal regulations and policies. Specifications have been previously provided. Work is located approximately 4 miles south of Hungry Horse, Montana in Flathead County. The Construction portion is subject to Construction Wage Rates MT180033 03/16/2018 MT33. Sources were initially sought for small business firms with a North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code of 333923 with a Small Business Size Standard of 1,250 people. **Responses to this revised notice will be used by the Government to make the appropriate acquisition decision as well as the original. Contractor must be registered in System for Award Management (SAM.gov) (see internet site: http://www.sam.gov). Responses are requested with the following information, which shall not exceed a total of ten (10) pages (page count does not include your questions concerning the specifications): RESPONSES TO THIS NOTICE: All interested and qualified firms responding to this sources sought notice are required to provide the following information: 1.Business Name, physical/mailing address, phone, point of contact, email and website if applicable; 2. DUNS Number; 3. A list of similar projects within the last five (5) years (at least three (3) descriptions) 4. Your firms bonding capacity per contract/action; Bonding is only required on the Construction portion of the project. 5. The list of relevant contracts/projects need to include: Manufacturing of multiple high capacity cranes at or exceeding the 290T capacity of the Hungry Horse powerhouse cranes and 125T capacity for the gantry crane; Replacing high capacity cranes by demolishing the old cranes and installing the new cranes. Include the location, contract number, description, and estimated yearly value, performance dates and Government point(s) of contact (contracting officer and QAE/inspector) a/o customers who have purchased the high capacity cranes with phone/fax numbers and emails. 6. If submitting past performance/experience on a project in the role of a subcontractor, include the Prime Contractor's name and a quantifiable amount (percentage) of the project your company contributed to the overall scope of work. 7. Any or all Small Business Classifications (Tell us if you are certified with the SBA under a socio economic program such as, but, not limited to 8(a) Program, SDVOSB, VOSB, HUBZone, small disadvantaged, and or WOSB. Interested parties and potential bidders or offerors can e-mail their capabilities and relevant history to Diane Long at dlong@usbr.gov, no later than 4:00 p.m. Mountain Time, Monday, May 14, 2018. Facsimiles will not be accepted. Oral communications ARE NOT acceptable in response to this notice.
