Description
The Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division (NSWCCD) has a requirement for deep submergence displacement sensors, drivers for sensor calibration, driver calibration services, synchronization kit, and engineering services. The products and services provided by Motion Tech Automation. The NAICS code is 334519 and the business size is 500 employees. The proposed purchase order is being solicited on a sole-source basis to Motion Tech Automation. The proposed action is for calibration and engineering services, for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source pursuant to FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii). The basis for restricting competition is for the following reasons: Motion Tech Automation is the only manufacturer that meets the sensor specification that can support the installation schedule needed for the project. The NSWCCD intends to award a firm fixed-price purchase order to Motion Tech Automation using Simplified Acquisition Procedures. Interested parties may identify their interest to this requirement by submitting a capabilities statement no later than 14-May-2018. This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive proposals. However, all responses received by 08-May-2018, will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Inquiries should be directed to Alexander Lambis at alexander.lambis@navy.mil
