- OCONUS Locations DRAFT PWS PLEASE RESPOND BY 12:00pm EASTERN ON 14 May 2018 This notice is a sources sought to support further market research for a Headquater Air Force Contract, Optimizing Human Weapon System. This sources sought in no way is a request for proposal, nor will the Government supplement costs. The proposed contract is a new requiremtns to support Combat Air Forces fighter squadrons at locations across OCONUS locations. Up to 85% of Air Force fighter aircrew surveyed reported some type of spine discomfort during their career. The Optimizing Human Weapon System program is designed to meet the unique physical needs of the rated fighter aircrew. Conditioning is accomplished through a comprehensive, coordinated, multidisciplinary "pre-habilitative" physical training program with focused strength and conditioning, perforamance nutrition, and physical therapy. The purpose of placing Optimizing Human Weapon System program specialists on base is to reduce frequency and severity of injuries and time lost from service, improve long term quality of life, optimize human performance/readiness, avoid injusry prior to occurrence, increase aircrew prodcution, and support fighter aircrew retention. The labor categories sought are Physical Therapist, Athletic Trainer, and Strength and Conditioning Specialist. AFDW/PK is seeking information on capable companies and/or questions and comments regarding the Performance Work Statement.
