USCG ACADEMY NEW LONDON CT SOURCES SOUGHT 70Z0G118SPFA03200 DREDGING FOR MAIN PIER AND JACOBS ROCK CAUSEWAY, USCG ACADEMY, NEW LONDON, CT (NEW LONDON COUNTY) PROJECT #11117891 SOURCES SOUGHT: THIS IS ONLY A MARKET SURVEY FOR WRITTEN INFORMATION ONLY. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION FOR PROPOSALS AND NO CONTRACT WILL BE AWARDED FROM THIS ANNOUCEMENT. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this announcement or any follow-up information requests. In order to protect the procurement integrity of any future procurement that may arise from this announcement, information regarding the technical point of contact will not be given and no appointments for presentations will be made. The U.S. Coast Guard is considering whether or not to set aside an acquisition for HUBZone Small Business concerns, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business concerns (SDVOSB), 8(a) certified Small Business concerns, Woman-Owned Small Business concerns or Small Business concerns. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 237990 - Dredging, with a small business size standard $27.5 Million. To be considered small for purposes of Government procurement, a firm must perform at least 40 percent of the volume dredged with its own equipment or equipment owned by another small dredging concern. The estimated value of the procurement is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. Bid, payment and performance bonds will be required. The U.S. Coast Guard is seeking Interested Vendors with successful past performance, current relevant experience, personnel/resources, equipment, capability and bonding capacity to provide dredging services required for maintenance dredging at the U.S. Coast Guard Academy in New London, CT. The project includes dredging of approximately 10,700 cubic yards of material with anticipated disposal in accordance with permits and approvals at the Central Long Island Sound Disposal Site (CLDS). The on-site performance period is 9/17/18-12/31/18 (15 weeks). Mobilization and pre-dredge surveying may occur prior to 10/1/18; however, dredging shall not begin prior to 10/1/18 due to regulatory (permit) restrictions.
