Description
This notice is NOT a solicitation. The 145th Airlift Wing in Charlotte, NC intends to issue an Invitation for Bid to award a single firm fixed-price contract for services, non-personal, to provide all plant, labor, transportation, materials, tools, equipment, appliances and supervision necessary to replace the Bldg. 51 chiller. The project will remove the existing chiller and disconnect all associated electrical and piping configurations up to the first adjacent flange to the unit. The contractor will be required to furnish all materials, equipment, labor, and permits necessary to perform work as outlined in the project drawings and specifications. The scope of this project includes, but is not limited to, removing and disposing of the existing chiller unit in building 51 for the East Wing, disconnect all pipes, disconnect all electrical circuits and install a new chiller that meets or exceeds the current capacity 25 Ton Chiller. The Contractor shall refer to plans and specifications for the exact space details and limits of construction. The Contractor shall reinstall the new 25 Ton Chiller and reconnect all electrical circuits and reconnect the new chiller to the existing piping system and DDC system. Specific timing/sequencing of phasing shall be finalized after project award. The above outlines the principle features of the work and in no way limits the responsibility of the contractor to perform all work and furnish all tools and labor required by the specifications referred to herein. The period of performance is 59 days after notice to proceed is issued. This project is set aside 100% for Small Business. The North American Industry Classification (NAICS) Code is 238220, with a size standard of $15,000,000 average annual revenue for the previous three (3) years. The magnitude of this project is between $25,000 and $100,000. The tentative date for issuing the solicitation is on-or about 23 May 2018. The tentative date for the pre-bid conference/site visit is on-or about 30 May 2018, 9:00AM EST. Interested contractors are encouraged to attend and shall follow conference registration and base access requirements shown in the solicitation. The bid opening date is scheduled for on-or about 7 June 2018. Actual dates and times will be identified in the solicitation. Your attention is directed to FAR CLAUSE 52.219-14 (b) (4) LIMITATIONS ON SUBCONTRACTING which states "By submission of an offer and execution of a contract, the Offeror /Contractor agrees that in performance of the contract the concern will perform at least 15 percent of the cost of the contract, not including the cost of materials, with its own employees" applies to this project.
