- The U.S. Department of the Interior (DOI), Bureau of Reclamation (Reclamation) has a requirement for the installation of a wire post-and-cable barrier system approximately 1200 linear feet along the switchback trail at the Mike O'Callaghan-Pat Tillman Memorial Bridge. The work includes installation of high tension post and cable railing system for eight ramps, in sections, installation of fence handrails posts outside of the concrete curb, excavation of end and brace posts, intermediate posts, top rails, and handrails. The project site is located within the Lake Mead National Recreation Area approximately 30 miles Southeast of Las Vegas, and carries U.S. Route 93 over the Colorado River. This requirement is restricted as a 100% HubZone Small Business Set-Aside. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code assigned to this project is 238990, All Other Specialty Trade Contractors with a corresponding small business size standard of $15M. The magnitude of this construction project is estimated to be between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00. This requirement will be solicited and awarded using the method outlined in FAR Part 14 - Sealed Bidding. A site visit is scheduled for May 18, 2018, at 8:30 am, local time. Reference Section L.8, Site Visit (Construction) for detailed information. Bids will be due on June 7, 2018 at 10:00 am local time. In order to be eligible for contract award, bidders are required to have a current registration, active registration in the System for Award Management (SAM), http://www.sam.gov, and have completed their Online Representations and Certifications.
