Description

INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE The Department of Veterans Affairs Networking Contracting Office (NCO) 6 intends to negotiate sole source commercial service procurement with Carl Zeiss Meditec, Inc. located at 5160 Hacienda Drive, Dublin, CA 94568, to provide a full corrective and preventative maintenance contract on Carl Zeiss ophthalmology equipment located at Fayetteville VAMC. The period of performance for this procurement is June 1, 2018 May 31, 2019 with 3 one-year option periods. This proposed contract action is for services for which the government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR Part 6.302. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes; however, interested parties may identify their interest by sending capability statements in reference to this requirement no later than 12:00 p.m., Friday, May 11, 2018, to: takira.peoples@va.gov. Telephone inquiries shall not be accepted. All information shall be furnished at no cost of obligation to the government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
