- This performance Based Commercial Items procurement is 100% Small Business set-aside. The NAICS is 561790, Snow Removal/Salt Services with a size standard of $7.5million. The Contractor shall provide all management, supervision, labor, equipment, materials, tools and supplies necessary to provide snow services. Snow Services required may include but should not be interpreted as all inclusive or limited to Clearing/Preventing Snow/Ice from roadways, parking lots, Snow Plowing, and Snow Removal. A Single Award is anticipated for the facilities listed below: St. Albans Federal Building VT0018ZZ 50 South Main St. St. Albans, VT 05478 Parking Lot: 16,096 SF Burlington Federal Building VT0024ZZ 11 Elmwood Ave Burlington, VT 05401 Parking Lot: 46,798 SF 58 Pearl VT0035ZZ 58 Pearl St. Burlington, VT 05401 Parking Lot: 8,394 SF Winston Prouty Federal Building VT0028ZZ 11 Lincoln St. Essex Junction, VT 05452 Parking Lot: 23,565 SF Highate Springs LPOE VT0057BH 482 Welcome Center Rd. Highgate Springs, VT 05460 Parking Lot: 219,608 SF Highgate Springs LPOE also includes approximately 12,500 SF of sidewalks including entrances (1240 SF) and Rt I-89 North ¼ mile from Highgate LPOE to Canadian Border and Rt I-89 South ¼ mile from Canadian Border to Highgate Springs LPOE (189,500 SF). The services required may include but should not be interpreted as all-inclusive or limited to the following: Clearing snow/ice, shoveling, snow removal and treatment (sanding & deicing services) for snow/ice on all surfaces (i.e., roadways, parking lots, shall be accomplished by the Contractor. Snow Plowing. Snow plowing shall commence when local accumulation reaches [two (2) inches]. Snow plowing shall be accomplished by the Contractor to maintain safe passage for access into buildings, parking areas, roadways, approaches, vehicular courts, ramps, etc. In the event of icy rain or snow, sanding shall commence to maintain a safe passage on all paved roadways, parking lots, driveways, ramps and walkways. Snow Removal. Snow must be removed from the site when the accumulation exceeds that which can be pushed off of the roads, parking areas, ramps and walkways without blocking traffic, parking spaces and pedestrian thoroughfares; or impedes the visibility of vehicular operators, pedestrians or tenant agency operations. Stockpiling of snow is not allowed at the Burlington P.O.C.H, the 58 Pearl, the Winston Prouty FB., the St. Albans P.O. & C.H. The Contractor shall furnish the necessary labor, heavy equipment and other items needed to clear and/or haul snow and ice from parking areas, roads, driveways, plaza areas, etc. Heavy equipment includes ride on equipment such as front end loaders, backhoes, bobcats, snow plows, etc. The Period of Performance is a base period of one year with four one year options. The solicitation is anticipated to be released on or about May 23, 2018. The site visit is tentatively scheduled on May 30, 2018. The solicitation will be available to download via this website only (www.fedbizopps.gov). The offeror is responsible for downloading their own copy of the RFP and associated documents. It is the responsibility of each potential offeror to monitor www.fbo.gov for any amendments or other information related to this solicitation.
