Description
The USCG, Civil Engineering Unit (CEU) Providence is conducting market research to determine the applicability of the Buy american Act on Heat Pump Systems. This is NOT a request for proposal. CEU Providence is looking for the following types of systems: (1) Ductless Multiple Room Split Heat Pump System branch capacity - 6 (+/- 2) indoor units approximate cooling/heating capacity 18-60 MBH minimum outdoor ambient air operating temperature (heat) -5 degF. (2) Ductless Split Heat Pump System approximate cooling/heating capacity 18-60 MBH minimum outdoor ambient air operating temperature (heat) -5 degF. If you manufacture or supply a ductless heat pump system that meets the requirements above, that is Buy American Act compliant, please provide the following information no later than 18 May 2018. If you do not manufacture/supply a BAA compliant system as required, please identify the off-shore manufacturers that do meet the above requirements. BAA compliant Domestic Construction Material requirements: A construction material manufactured in the US, if - (1) the cost of the components mined, produced, or manufactured in the US exceeds 50 percent of the cost of all its components. Components of foreign origin of the same class or kind for which nonavailability determinations have been made are treated as domestic; or (2) the construction material is a COTS item. a) Provide the manufacturer's name and place of manufacture. Provide a list of components that may be manufactured in the US even if assembled elsewhere. b) Provide availability (sold in sufficient quantity in the US) of manufactured system. c) Provide information on a comparable system that may be BAA compliant. d) Provide any other materials or documentation that may be pertinent to the BAA compliant question.
