- Description
- The Black Hills National Forest is actively working to maintain the Forest Road Systems in an effort to foster productive and sustainable use of our National Forest System lands; enhancing recreations opportunities, improving access, and sustaining infrastructure; and creating and maintain resilient landscapes. Surface Rock Replacement work on Forest Roads will be in various counties in South Dakota. Contractor may bid on one or more of the four bid items, award may be made to one or more up to four individual contracts. Work is similar in nature and will be performed in the following locations: 1) NFSR 299 Bobcat Road - Haul and place approximately 2070 CCY Government furnished aggregate on approximately 1.8 miles to meet 4 inch lift and 16 foot average top width with 2% crowned surface. Is approximately 10 miles northwest of Custer - Pennington County SD. 2) NFSR 159 Victoria Lake Road - Haul and place approximately 2371 CCY Government furnished aggregate on approximately 2.38 miles with 4 inch lift and 14 foot average top width. Located approximately North of Hill City SD in Pennington County SD. 3) NFSR 117 Boles Canyon Road - Haul and place approximately 1470 CCY Government furnished aggregate on approximately 0.94 miles segment with a 6 inch lift with a 14 foot average top width. Location of project is West of Hill City via Deerfield Hwy 17, West Deerfield 110, and Boles Canyon Rd 117. Pennington County SD. 4) Lower NFSR 144.1 Reconditioning 0.92 miles of roadbed and placement of approximately 984 CCY Government furnished aggregate from intersection with FH 26 to junction NFSR 144.1 - approximately.25 miles North from the junction of Vanocker Canyon Road (FH26) and Lawrence County Road 404. Lawrence County SD. The contractor shall provide any and all labor, equipment, supplies, services, permits, licensing, supervision, workman's compensation, unemployment insurance, and transportation to accomplish all surface rock replacement as specified in the plans. Price Range: The Government's Combined estimates are: below $200,000.00. A Bid Bond is required for 100% of the total value of your proposal. A payment &/or performance bond may be required dependant upon how the project is awarded. Neither a site visit nor per-proposal meeting is planned. Contractors are responsible to visit the site on their own and submit questions to the Contracting Officer. It is the contractor's responsibility to familiarize themselves with the normal terrain.
