Description
DESCRIPTION: The North Florida/South Georgia (NF/SG) Veterans Healthcare System, Malcolm Randall VA Medical Center, 1601 SW Archer Road, Gainesville, FL 32608 intends to award on a Sole Source basis a contract to install a Demand Flow Chiller Control Program. The proposed source is Siemens Industry Inc (SI), Building Technologies Division, Jacksonville, FL. Chiller Plants are the most energy-intensive component in the VA facility. This service contract will ensure the most efficient operation of the chiller plant possible. The Control program will optimize efficiency and is designed to reduce electricity usage by the Chiller Plant, providing significant utility savings for the hospital. The control program is operated by the existing Siemens Building Automation and Control System (BAS) which controls the hospital s heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) and associated subsystems. SI engineer/technicians will install high accuracy sensing devices to control the overall systems to a tighter tolerance. SI will meg test all motors to determine the life expectancy of any motors not replaced and provide a pre-test and post Demand Flow installation test and balance on all pumps. TERMS: 1. The projected Period of Performance of the contract is for 180 days. LICENSE AND ACCREDITATION 1. Field Service Engineer must possess a Siemens certificate of technical training. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES; however, any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification prior to the response due date and time. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) number is 561210. Parties may identify their interest, accompanied by supporting literature to the Contracting Officer no later than May 18, 2018 at 3:00pm EST. Responses should be sent to todd.pappas@va.gov. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement will be solely up to the government.
