- STEA - Construct and deliver on steam locomotive firebox. 1. On or about June 4, 2018, the National Park Service will be issuing a Request for Proposal to firms having the capability to perform the work described below. This solicitation will be issued electronically (paper copies of this solicitation will not be made available) on the Fed Connect website at: https://www.fedconnect.net/FedConnect/Default.htm. An additional source for information is the Federal Business Opportunities website at https://www.fbo.gov/. 2. The work of this contract includes all fabrication and delivery of one locomotive firebox to Steamtown National Historic Site, Scranton, PA. The work includes the complete fabrication of a replacement firebox for the Boston and Maine locomotive #3713 per the attached scope of work. 3. NAICS 336510, Railroad rolling stock manufacturing. Size standard, $1,500 employees 4. Size magnitude is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. 5. This procurement is unrestricted. Large and small businesses mat submit a proposal.. 6. All questions must be in writing and may be submitted to Gettysburg National Military Park, South MABO (Major acquisition Buying Office), Karen Umstot, 1000 Biglerville Road, Gettysburg, PA, 17325 or emailed to karen.umstot@nps.gov.Telephone requests will not be accepted. Requests being sent via mail must contain a verifiable return address or they will not be opened.
