Description
BRIDGE REPAIRS AT CRAB ORCHARD NWR BELOW DEVIL'S KITCHEN DAM BRIDGE & LITTLE GRASSY SPILLWAY BRIDGE PROJECT LOCATION: Crab Orchard National Wildlife Refuge, US Fish & Wildlife Service, 8588 Route 148, Marion, Illinois, Williamson County ESTIMATED MAGNITUDE: The estimated magnitude of this requirement in terms of physical characteristics and estimated price range is between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00. A firm-fixed price contract is contemplated. SOCIOECONOMIC PROGRAMS: This procurement is set-aside exclusively for Service Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business concerns. For information purposes, the North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) is 237310, Highway, Street, and Bridge Construction Contractors, with a size standard of $36.5 Million. The solicitation package will be available at www.FBO.gov and www.FedConnect.net on or about May 30, 2018, with a Bid Opening occurring on or about July 10, 2018. Bid Opening will be at 3:00 PM CST. No telephone requests for the solicitation will be accepted. This solicitation will NOT be available in hard copy. The solicitation package will include the following: An itemized Bid Schedule, Specifications, Drawings, Prevailing Wage Determination, and Bid Bond Form. Please ensure you have a complete downloaded solicitation package before submitting your Bid. It is the contractor's responsibility to ensure that they receive all appropriate solicitation documents to submit a competitive Bid. Contractors MUST be registered as "Active" in the System for Award Management (SAM) at www.sam.gov to include Online Representations and Certifications at the time of Bid Opening to be eligible for this award. Address on SF1442 must match address in SAM.gov. THERE IS NO CHARGE TO REGISTER IN THIS SYSTEM. PROJECT CONSISTS OF: This work includes, but is not limited to, project mobilization and demobilization, project management and oversight, testing and inspections, demolition, construction, quality control, cleanup, and removal of all waste generated during performance of the work. The Base Bid includes, but is not limited to the following items: concrete repairs, paint removal, painting, cover plate repairs, resetting/replacing bearings, riprap placement, sheet pile installation, asphalt paving, joint filler installation, strip seal expansion joint installation, and other miscellaneous improvements for two (2) bridges located on the Refuge. Contractor must have experience in the following: Bridge (reinforced concrete/steel) repair work per IDOT specifications, Painting and lead paint abatement/removal per IDOT GBSP 25/26, and must perform the work per plan, specification, and referenced documents. SITE VISIT: Offerors are urged and expected to inspect the site where the work will be performed. Site visit details will be provided when the full solicitation package is available.
