- Description
- This procurement is a Total Small Business Set­-Aside. The General Services Administration (GSA) has a need for a service elevator replacement at the Minneapolis Federal Building, 212 3rd Ave S, Minneapolis, MN. The following is a brief summary of the required services: General Scope: The work included in this project will include, but not limited to the following: a. Replacement of service elevator 1) Remove and replace existing service elevator as shown on drawings, including all components, controls, jack assembly, hoist beam, doors and frames. Contractor to verify reuse of existing guide rails. 2) Construct new rear shaft wall and repaint hoistway. Remove and replace all hoistway light fixtures. 3) Install new elevator sump pump in existing mechanical room. Install sump pit and drainage at elevator pit with trench piping from hoistway to pump. Measures for underpinning at existing footings along trench line may be required. 4) Construct and fit-out new elevator machine room at Basement Level including provision of associated supporting electrical and mechanical systems. Provide new condenser unit/curb assembly at roof level for conditioning of Machine Room including refrigerant lines connecting Machine Room to Roof unit. Patch and repair new roof penetrations. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 236220 with a size standard of $36.5 million. This is a negotiated best value procurement. Proposals will be evaluated on price and non-price factors. All responsible small business concerns may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency. Proposals will be opened privately. The solicitation will be available on or about May 31, 2018. There will be a pre-proposal conference. The date and time of the conference will be included in the solicitation. Offerors will be responsible for downloading the solicitation and for monitoring FBO for amendments and/or additional information. All offerors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) located at www.sam.gov in order to be considered for award. The solicitation will be available for download through FedBizOpps. All interested vendors must be registered with this website in order to download the solicitation and amendments. Potential offerors will be responsible for downloading the solicitation and monitoring the Federal Business Opportunities website for amendment(s), if any, to the solicitation. Offer due date and time for receipt of proposals will be posted in the solicitation.
