Description
Market Research Questionnaire - FPC Bryan THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY - Solicitations are not available at this time. This notice does not constitute a commitment by the Government. The information gathered from market research will be vital in the formation and set aside status of the solicitation. The Bureau of Prisons has a future requirement for Horticulture Vocational Training services for the inmate population at the Federal Prison Camp (hereinafter referred to as FPC) Bryan, Texas. Horticulture Vocational Training services is needed for the inmate population to provide the inmates with basic knowledge and skills in landscaping and organic gardening in general and practical horticulture. Inmate participants shall: Gain an understanding of the career opportunities in the broad, diverse, and rapidly expanding industry of horticulture; Identify the economic, aesthetic, and social importance of horticultural plants; Obtain the competency necessary for greenhouse and field production of horticultural plants through on-site practical work experience; Acquire basic knowledge and skills necessary for gaining meaningful employment within horticulture related businesses and industries through meaningful classroom and hands-on work experiences; Produce quality ornamental and edible plants for utilization and consumption at FPC Bryan, as well as, for use in community outreach programs. The contract period shall consist of one 12 month base year with four (4) 12 month option years for renewal. It is anticipated that approximately 1,500 sessions will be needed for approximately 75 students each year. The anticipated classroom schedule will be Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. The schedule will not include federal holidays and sick/vacation time. The Government contemplates awarding of an indefinite-delivery, requirements-type contracts with firm-fixed unit prices resulting from the future solicitation. The contract period shall consist of a 12 month base period with four (4) 12 month option periods for renewal. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 611310 (Size Standard: $27.5 million). A Government solicitation document to provide these services is being developed, and a contract may or may not result. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information regarding this acquisition. Please note: All contractors doing business with the Federal Government must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database. The website for registration is www.sam.gov. Market research is being conducted to determine interest and capability of potential sources for this requirement. All information submitted in response to this announcement is voluntary. The Government will not pay for information requested, nor will it compensate any respondent for any cost incurred in developing information provided to the Government. The Market Survey Questionnaire will be available on or about May 17, 2018, and will be distributed solely through General Services Administration's Federal Business Opportunities web site https://www.fbo.gov/. The site provides downloading instructions. All future information about this acquisition, including solicitation and/or amendments, will be distributed solely through this site. Faith-Based and Community-Based Organizations can submit offers/quotes equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible. The response date for the market research questionnaire is May 24, 2018, at 2:00 p.m. Central Standard Time. No collect calls will be accepted. No telephone requests or written requests for the market research questionnaire will be accepted.
