- Description
- This synopsis is for the C-5M Software and Systems Integration Program. The Government has determined that this effort will be a sole source contract to Lockheed Martin Aeronautics (LMA),Cage Code 98897, IAW FAR 6.302-1 - Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements. This effort is to provide software sustainment updates for the C-5 aircraft. The effort includes Software Maintenance, Systems Integration Laboratory (SIL) Maintenance, Engineering and Technical Support, and Software Engineering Support. This effort will provide software maintenance updates to the C-5M software baseline for future software modification programs. In addition, there will be annual task orders for maintenance of the LMA SIL and engineering support. SIL equipment is needed to accomplish software integration testing and to allow engineering a venue to accomplish studies and analysis of software issues in lieu of using aircraft to determine the root cause of a software anomaly. The annual task orders will also provide software engineering data support. This support includes engineering studies and analysis, as well as engineering assistance of field identified software problems. Options I, II, III, IV and V are awarded but are not exercised.
