- Description
- The Naval Air Warfare Center, Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) Contracts Department, Patuxent River, MD in support of NAVAIR 4.4, Propolsion and Power, intends to award on a firm fixed-price basis, and solicit and negotiate the proposed purchase order on a sole source basis with Kahn Industries, Inc. for a set of Kahn Test Stand engine mounts and a high speed drive shaft to support T700 and CT7 turboshaft engines, and a new Kahn series 555 control with the setup. The Government intends to place this purchase order under the authority implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) by FAR 13.106-1(b), Soliciting from a single source. No additional written information, formal request for quotation, or solicitation is available at this time. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. Kahn Industries is the sole designer, developer, and integrator of the above equipment and is uniquely qualified to provide the supplies required by the U.S. Navy Fleet. Kahn Industries is the only known firm that possesses the technical data necessary to fulfill the Government's requirements.
