Description

Thermal Modulator (Sole Source to ZOEX Corporation). Solicitation N0042118Q0386 is issued as intent to sole source. The Government intends to purchase on a firm fixed-price basis, and to solicit and negotiate the proposed purchase order on a sole source basis with ZOEX Corporation, under the authority implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) by FAR Part 13.106-1(b). Zoex Corporation is the only known producer of a dual loop cryogenic thermal modulator (ZX-1) for gas chromatographs, and they hold patent for this technology. One of the key operational requirements for this purchase is that the instrument be identical in comprehensive two-dimensional gas chromatograph (GCxGC) form and function to two existing instruments in the laboratory. This is a brand name 100 % match only! Substitute or similar product will not be accepted. This notice is intent to Sole Source with ZOEX Corporation. ***Basis for Award*** Vendor must be registered in System for Award Management (SAM) Database prior to submission of an offer to be considered for award of any Department of Defense contract. This can be accomplished electronically at http://www.sam.gov/vendor.cfm.
