- PRE SOLICITATION/SOLICITATION NOTICE Solicitation and attachments have been posted. Requirement: The purpose of this contract is to secure a complete set of services for Pine Ecotone thinning on the Eagle Lake Ranger District. The primary tasks involve sawtimber and biomass removal, Pre/during and post haul road maintenance. This solicitation and any resulting contract will be a stewardship project. The project is located in all or portions of Township (T) 31, North (N), Range, (R) 8 East (E), Sections 1, 11-14; Mount Diablo Meridian. The project area is approximately 20 miles NW of Susanville, CA and 50 miles to the nearest biomass co-generation facility. There are 107 acres and 340 Tons of biomass within this project area that is within the state designated Tier 2 High Hazards Zone. Contract Time: It is estimated that work will begin July 2, 2018. Actual date is negotiable based upon actual award date, prospective work and weather conditions. All work must be completed by March 31, 2020. Set Asides: This procurement is being solicited on an unrestricted basis. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 115310. The related small business size standard is $7.5M. Solicitation Info: Solicitation is being conducted under FAR Part 13. All responsible sources may submit a quote, which shall be considered. All solicitation documents have been posted. Site Visit: An organized site visit is scheduled for May 30, 2018 at 0900. Quoters should meet at the Eagle Lake Ranger District, 477-050 Eagle Lake Road, Susanville California. Inquiries: All contractual and technical questions must be submitted in writing via email to tmarino@fs.fed.us or fax to 530-226-2474 soon enough to allow a reply to reach all prospective contractors before the solicitation closing date. Oral explanations or instructions given before the award of a contract will not be binding. Notifications: In accordance with FAR 5.102(d), the government is limiting the availability of the solicitation to electronic medium through this posting to FBO.gov. Notification of any postponements and any amendments to this solicitation will be posted on this website. It is the sole responsibility of the quoter to continually view this website for any amendments made to this solicitation. Award notifications will be made to this notice. Early notification will not be made to any quoter except Awarded Contractor.
