Description
EAL Drawings Solicitation PRINCIPAL FEATURES: This project includes, but shall not be limited to the following principal features: 0001. PHASE PLAN 1. The renovation of the Dining facility will be phased to support minimal mission messing requirements. Phase 1 (refer to drawing #2) will be released for renovation first. Steps shall be taken to prevent dirt/debris/noise from construction activities for remaining area. After Phase 1 is finished, Phase 2 will be released for renovation. 0002. ARCHITECTURAL WORK A. REMOVAL WORK 1. Remove existing deteriorated floor finishes as shown on the drawings. 2. Remove existing acoustical ceiling tiles including ceiling hangers & supports as shown on the drawings. 3. Remove existing ceiling and GWB (Gypsum Wall Board) including molding as shown on the drawings. 4. Dispose and haul waste material off the base. 5. Existing furniture and equipment shall be removed, stored, and reinstalled by the construction contractor at government designated place. B. REPAIR INTERIOR FLOOR FINISH 1. Install new vinyl composition tile (VCT) with vinyl cove base (VCB) and wax on new VCT as shown on the drawings. C. REPAIR INTERIOR CEILING 1. Replace existing acoustic ceiling tiles including suspension system as shown on the drawings. D. REPAINT INTERIOR WALL 1. Repaint interior wall as shown on the drawings. 2. Prior to surface preparation and coating applications, remove, mask, or otherwise protect, hardware, hardware accessories, machined surfaces, radiator covers, plates, lighting fixtures, public and private property, and other such items not to be coated that are in contact with surfaces to be coated. 3. Remove dirt, splinters, loose particles, grease, oil, disintegrated coatings, and other foreign matter and substances deleterious to coating performance as specified for each substrate before application of paint or surface treatments. 4. Repair substrate surface damaged during surface preparation. 5. Apply to paint tables of OMA SPEC and submit the shop drawings before work. 0003. MECHANICAL WORK A. REMOVAL WORK 1. Remove existing domestic hot water storage tank/heater and associated pipe as shown on the drawings. 2. Remove existing hot water recirculation pump and associated pipe. 3. Dispose and haul waste material off the base. B. PLUMBING WORK 1. Install new domestic hot water storage tanks/heater with associated pipe and valve as shown on the drawings. 2. Install new water recirculation pump with associated pipe and valve.
