Description
The U.S. Department of Agriculture, Agricultural Research Service intends to make a sole source procurement to SAPIDYNE INSTRUMENTS located at 700 W. Diamond St., Boise, ID 83705 for the upgrade of an existing KinExA Model #3100 series to a Model #3200 series. The upgrade includes the following: 1. Upgrade of existing KinExA 3000/3100 to 3200. A one-year warranty on upgraded parts. 2. KinExA Autosampler - made exclusively for use with the KinExA 3200 Instrument. Includes a one-year warranty, training and installation. The government has determined that Sapidyne Instruments is the manufacturer of the model owned by the government and is so for the upgrade, warranties and training. Pursuant to FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements, the government intends to award a firm, fixed-price purchase order to Sapidyne Instruments without competition on or about June 1, 2018. These products will be delivered to the USDA-ARS-PWA Foodborne Toxin Detection and Prevention Research Unit, 800 Buchanan Street, Albany, CA 94710. The NAICS code for this procurement is 334516. The size standard is 1,000 employees. This Notice of Intent is not considered a Request for Quotation (RFQ) nor a Request for Proposals (RFP). No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be honored. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency for the purpose of determining whether to conduct competition on future procurements for these or like products.
