- Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Device Registry Summit ---------------------------------------------------------- NOTE: This Special Notice has been published and cross-referenced under multiple applicable NAICS Codes. This has resulted in various Special Notice Reference ID Numbers (3610G18Q9093, 3610G18Q9094, 3610G18Q9095, and 3610G18Q9096). Despite this, there is only one event, which will cover the acquisition detailed below. This announcement is released by the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) to notify Industry of a VA Medical Device Registry Summit on June 4, 2018 from 8:30 AM 4:30 PM at the GV (Sonny) Montgomery Veterans Auditorium, Room 230, 810 Vermont Avenue, NW, Washington, DC 20420 In an effort to improve patient safety, VA is hosting a summit of thought leaders to convene on medical device tracking and partnering with sister agencies, FDA, CMS, HHS and DoD to promote patient safety. Medical Device Registries are critically important because they enable patient notification about safety recalls, identification of the exact device when a patient shows up in ER with complications, and tracking & comparison of outcomes of implants. By partnering with medical experts and sister agencies, VA is working to implement the largest health system device tracking program in the nation. Parties interested in registering to attend this Summit may do so by RSVPing to rsvpprotocol@va.gov. Registration will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis, until capacity. Space is limited to the first 150 registrants and attendance is limited to two persons per company/organization. The summit will also be broadcast live in two parts.
