Description

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is seeking competent and qualified contractors interested in providing offers for the Modernization of the Freight Elevator at the Benton, PA ARSR. This is an unrestricted procurement. All contractors who meet the go-no-go criteria listed below are invited to bid. The scope of work is as follows: Furnish all necessary labor, material, equipment, transportation, design, testing and service to modernize the (QRC) ARSR Freight Elevator. Work includes but is not limited to replacing the existing motor, elevator controls, hoist ropes, travel cables, governor, brakes, buffers, bi-parting door operators, elevator pit steel channel, etc. in accordance with the FAA Specification. In addition, the contractor will provide Design-Build Services and retain the service of an independent, third-party elevator inspection firm to conduct required tests in accordance with specification. An elevator contractor licensed in the State of Pennsylvania or licensed by any other state in the United States of America shall perform all elevator modernization work. All licenses must be current. A copy of the required license shall be provided to the Contracting Officer as part of Contractor ™s Cost Proposal This procurement is set as Unrestricted. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 238290 - Other Building Equipment Contractors The estimated price range of this project is between $200,000 and $500,000. Contract performance time is 120 calendar days. The contractor shall perform at least 15% of the work using its own employees. There will be a mandatory pre-bid/site visit on June 26, 2018 at the site. This project is located on secured government property. Unscheduled site visits are impossible to accommodate. THE SUCCESSFUL OFFER MUST MEET THE FOLLOWING GO/NO GO CRITERIA: a. Contractor Qualification: Licensed installation/service Company that has been in business for at least fifteen (15) years, specialized in elevator construction and services, in the State of Pennsylvania or licensed by any other state in the United States of America. b. The contractor must have successfully completed (10) similar elevator modernization projects both in dollar amount and scope during the past (10) years. The contractor must provide the name of the facility where work was performed, contract number, along with a point of contact at the facility and telephone number. This information MUST BE submitted with the request for specifications and plans. The Solicitation Package will be available the week of June 11, 2018. Contractors must submit their request for this package no later than noon (CDT) by June 1, 2018, complete, and submit the attached documents: 1. DOCUMENT SECURITY NOTICE TO PROSPECTIVE OFFERORS 2. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE FAILURE TO SUBMIT ALL REQUIRED INFORMATION WILL DEEM THE REQUEST FOR THIS SOLICITATION AS NON-RESPONSIVE.
