- Diesel Generator Specification SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE: 87WPB Ship Service Diesel Engine - Generator Overhaul Services OVERHAUL 70Z08018S17001B00 This is a MARKET SURVEY / SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE, pursuant to FAR Part 10 (Market Research), FAR Part 6.302-1 and HSAM 3006.302-1. This is not a pre-solicitation notice or solicitation for proposals/quotations. REQUIREMENT: The Surface Forces Logistics Center, Patrol Boat Product Line, has a requirement on a sole source basis, utilizing other than full and open competition procedures in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1 for the acquisition of the below cited Generator Set refurbishment. It is intended to award one firm fixed-price contract to Performance Diesel Inc., 12130 Galveston Rd. Bldg 2, Webster, TX 77598. This description sets forth the requirements for the purchase and/or repair of the Ship Service Diesel engine-generator set, NSN: 2815-01-F98-0167, P/N: D0824LF01/UCM224F13 which are currently installed on the U.S. Coast Guard 87'cutters. This description also describes the minimum requirements for packaging, labeling, bar coding, and shipping the Generator Set to the U.S. Coast Guard's warehouse in Baltimore, Maryland. GOVERNMENT FURNISHED MATERIAL NSN DESCRIPTION 2815-01-F98-0167 Engine Generator The Government DOES NOT possess the necessary drawings, technical specifications, etc., to supply with this requirement. At the present time, this acquisition is expected to be restricted to Perfomance Diesel; and the anticipated NAICS Code is 333618, Other Engine Equipment Manufacturing. Period of Performance: It is anticipated that one firm, fixed-price, requirements contract for one (1) base year and four (4) option years will be awarded for this requirement. Submission of Information: If you intend to submit information / documentation on this acquisition, please respond e-mail by June 7, 2018 at 4:00 PM EST to: william.r.zittle@uscg.mil The following information / documentation must be included in your response: (a) a positive statement of your intention to submit a quote for this solicitation as a prime contractor, to include: Name of Company, Address, DUNS Number, Point of Contact and Phone Number, Business Size for the applicable NAICS Code and, if applicable, your Small Business Status along with a copy of the Certificate from the Small Business Administration (SBA) certifying the company's small business status, and (b) evidence of experience in supplying the required items to include: Contract Numbers, Project Titles and Dollar Amounts, Points of Contact and Telephone Numbers. At least two references are requested, but more are desirable. All of the above must be submitted in sufficient detail for a decision to be made for a small business set-aside. The solicitation for this procurement indicating whether this will be pursued as a small business set-aside or on an unrestricted basis will be posted at www.fbo.gov.
