Description

This notification is for issuance of a sole-source modification to contract N0018913D0001 with Management Consulting, Inc. (doing business as MANCON) to extend the period of performance through 31 October 2018. This contract is for the operation of the Norfolk Super Servmart and the furnishing of all supplies, parts, equipment, and materials needed by the Navy in Norfolk, VA and the Hampton Roads area. This contract was competitively awarded and services are set to expire 13 June 2018. The follow-on to this contract is being solicited through solicitation N0018918R0003. This modification is being issued in accordance with 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) because pursuant to FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii), the services are deemed to be available only from MANCON as it is the only known contractor with the capability to perform without delay or interruption while the follow-on competition occurs. Award to any other source would likely result in substantial duplication of cost to the Government and unacceptable delays. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the Government.
