This is a Request for Information (RFI) only; it is not a request for quotations or offers. 52.215-3 -- Request for Information or Solicitation for Planning Purposes (Oct 1997) (a) The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this solicitation or to otherwise pay for the information solicited except as an allowable cost under other contracts as provided in subsection 31.205-18, Bid and proposal costs, of the Federal Acquisition Regulation. (b) Although proposal and offeror are used in this Request for Information, your response will be treated as information only. It shall not be used as a proposal. (c) This sources sought is issued for the purpose of conducting market research to identify Veteran Owned (VOSB) and Service-Disabled Veteran Owned (SDVOSB) Small Business vendors that are capable and qualified to provide delivery of a Scott Safety, brand-name or equal, Five Button Thermal Imager, Model# X380 5B V-07. General Equipment Name: Scott Safety - X380 5B V-07 Thermal Imager - Five Button, brand-name or equal Description & Salient Characteristics: The Hot Springs VAMC is seeking a thermal imager to find cold and hot spots in interior building inspections, missing person location scenarios, and HAZMAT situations. Hot and cold spot tracking capabilities. High resolution detection of pixel resolution (384 x 288), or greater, with pixel-to-pixel mapping on viewing screen. Tactical color display growing in intensity of temperature up to and above 2000 °F. Use of hands-free focus to automatically adjust at temperatures up to and above 2000 °F. Ability to switch from high and low temperatures by placing the crosshairs on object to be measured. Light weight imager between 2 3 lbs. with balanced ergonomic pistol grip to reduce wrist/hand fatigue. Trunk mount charging. Standard features must include: resolution at 384 x 288, Full-size 3.5 LCD, 2X and 4X zoom, Direct spot temperature readout, Laser pointer, Image Freeze, and On-Demand DVR. Required Individual Line Items & Quantity of Items (2 each) Scott Safety X380 5B V-07, or equal, Thermal Imager (2 each) user and maintenance manuals. (1 each) Cleaning Instructions for all equipment, supplies and accessories Optional Line Items Warranty Information 3-year, or greater, Manufacturer Warranty Coordinating Instructions: Delivery Requirements: Shipping and delivery will be included in the line items quoted. All products should be ordered to arrive 30 days ARO. All vendors are required to be registered at the in System for Award Management (SAM) at https://www.sam.gov/. Due to the needs of the government and Department of Veterans Affairs, only vendors currently with an active registration in SAM will be considered as a responsible and qualified source.
