Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial service prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are requested and a written solicitation will NOT be issued. This is a Request for Quote (RFQ) and the solicitation number is 15JE1R-18-PR-0044. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-96 effective 6 Nov 2017. Total Small Business Set-Aside; size standard 1,000 employees. The North American Industry Classification System code (NAICS) is NAICS is 337215, Showcase, Partition, Shelving, and Locker Manufacturing. Description of Requirement: The contractor shall provide the following products (or equal): 1. Use Aurora Condensed high density filing system or equal as approved by the agency. System color, putty. 2. Constructed of 15d X 30w X 72h carriages. 3. 4 rows of carriages to a bay, equaling 4 carriages side by side. Total of 8 bays, in a configuration of two (2) bays back to back. 4. The complete installation must be able to support a minimum of 2000 files at an average of 2.5 thickness per file in the pull-out drawers. 5. Each carriage is 30wide with 5 pull out shelves and a 6th top fixed shelf for a total height of 72. Each carriage will be steel enclosed sides and top, with an open front for easy access. 6. Each drawer must hold letter size files arranged with 2 rows of files, with front to back access and shall have a metal divider between file rows. File rows are 15 deep on each shelf with viewing the full fronts of two rows of files. This is NOT a lateral filing / side viewing system. 7. Drawers shall have closed fronts and backs and slide out on ball-bearing guides for access to files. 8. Bays of carriages shall glide on recessed low profile tracks, geared by a 3-spoke rotary handle for manual operation on the ends of the bays. 9. Safety features to include safety sweeps, brakes, and anti-tip rails. 10. Ability to reconfigure, expand, or relocate mobile system as needed while the carriages are welded to provide rigidity and results in minimal distortion keeping carriage members structurally square and true under heavy loads. 11. Structural subfloor supporting carriages and files shall be sufficient to support all carriages, drawers and shelving 100% full of paper files. Vendor to submit calculation for maximum weight per lineal foot supported by their system to the agency. 12. Subfloor finished in vinyl composition tile Armstrong, Standard Excelon, Multicolor Pie Car #52525. 13. High-Density Filing system and installation shall be ADA/ABA compliant. Contract Type: Firm-Fixed Price inclusive of all product delivery, installation & assembly, and disposal of packing material. Award: The Government intends to award a fixed-price Purchase Order to the firm that provides the lowest price technically acceptable quote. Technically acceptability determined by ability to meet all Terms and conditions, meet product salient characteristics, and ability to deliver within prescribed timeframe.
