- Draft Specifications List Draft Statement of Work NASA/Goddard Space Flight Center plans to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for an Inertial Reference Unit (IRU) for the Plankton, Aerosol, Cloud, ocean Ecosystem (PACE) spacecraft which is targeted to launch in 2022-2023. This mission is planned for launch into a sun-synchronous polar orbit at 676.5 km with an inclination of 98 degrees and a 1 p.m. local ascending node crossing time. The IRU shall provide three axis rate information to the PACE Guidance, Navigation and Control (GNC) System using flight-qualified high-grade inertial sensors and it is intended for use as a high accuracy, fine resolution altitude reference. For more information on technical requirements, please refer to the attached Draft Statement of Work and the Draft Specifications document. The NAICS Code for this action is 334511 with a size standard of 1250 employees. The anticipated release date of RFP 80GSFC18R0055 is on or about June 27, 2018 with an anticipated proposal due date of on or about August 11, 2018. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency. NASA Clause 1852.215-84, Ombudsman, is applicable. The Center Ombudsman for this acquisition can be found at http://prod.nais.nasa.gov/pub/pub_library/Omb.html. The solicitation and any documents related to this procurement will be available over the Internet. These documents will reside on a World-Wide Web (WWW) server, which may be accessed using a WWW browser application. Prospective offerors shall notify this office of their intent to submit an offer. It is the offeror's responsibility to monitor the Internet site for the release of the solicitation and amendments (if any). Potential offerors will be responsible for downloading their own copy of the solicitation and amendments (if any).
