Draft PWS for Fort Benning Centennial Book SOURCES SOUGHT: W911SF-18-T-AMO1595 Fort Benning Centennial Manuscript INTRODUCTION The Fort Benning Mission Installation Contracting Command (MICC) Fort Benning, GA is issuing this sources sought synopsis as a means of conducting market research to identify potential sources having an interest and industry technologies available to author a history of Fort Benning. Fort Benning will require author services for the Fort Benning Centennial Manuscript Project. The end goal is to produce a Manuscript which details the 100 year history of Fort Benning, as well as its future. The result of this market research will contribute to determining the method of procurement, if a requirement materializes. Based on the responses to this sources sought notice/market research, this requirement may be set-aside for small businesses or procured through full and open competition. All small business set-aside categories will be considered. Telephone inquiries will not be accepted or acknowledged, and no feedback or evaluations will be provided to companies regarding submissions. RESPONSES IN ANY FORM ARE NOT OFFERS AND THE GOVERNMENT IS UNDER NO OBLIGATION TO AWARD A CONTRACT AS A RESULT OF THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. NO FUNDS ARE AVAILABLE TO PAY FOR PREPARATION OF RESPONSES TO THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. ANY INFORMATION SUBMITTED BY RESPONDENTS TO THIS TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION IS STRICTLY VOLUNTARY. PROGRAM BACKGROUND The objectives of the Fort Benning Centennial Manuscript Project is to produce a manuscript of a minimum of 300 pages detailing the history of Fort Benning and its future. The Manuscript will focus in particular on the relationship Fort Benning has with the people of Columbus, Georgia: Fort Benning's contributions to the United States' Army; warfighting innovations at Fort Benning; Fort Benning's leadership in racial and gender integration; Fort Benning's international influence; and how Fort Benning will influence the next 100 years of US and world history. The manuscript will then be produced in the following formats: hardback, paperback, e-Manuscript, audio manuscript, and condensed versions for pamphlets for schools. Other formats may also be included. ELIGIBILITY The applicable NAICS code for this requirement is 711510 with a Small Business Size Standard of $7.5MIL. The Product Service Code (PSC) is T0001 Books and Pamphlets. SUBMISSION DETAILS Interested businesses should submit a brief capabilities statement package (no more than ten 8.5 X 11 inch pages, font no smaller than 10 point) demonstrating ability to provide the product listed in this pertaining to this performance work statement, and the estimated time to complete the manuscript. Documentation should be in bullet format. No phone or email solicitations with regards to the status of the RFP will be accepted prior to its release. SAMs registration is required. Your response to this Sources Sought, including any capabilities statement, shall be electronically submitted to the Contract Specialist, Susanne Johnson, in either Microsoft Word or Portable Document Format (PDF), via email Susanne.h.johnson.civ@mail.mil or Contracting Officer, Shawndra Rhodes, shawndra.n.rhodes.civ@mail.mil no later than 12:00 p.m. EST on 4 June 2018 and reference this synopsis number (W911SF-18-T-AMO1595) in subject line of e-mail and on all enclosed documents. Information and materials submitted in response to this request WILL NOT be returned. DO NOT SUBMIT CLASSIFIED MATERIAL. If your organization has the potential capacity to provide the required product, please provide the following information: 1) Organization name, address, primary points of contact (POCs) and their email address, FAX, Web site address, telephone number, and type of ownership for the organization; and 2) Tailored capability statements addressing the requirements of this notice, 3) If applicable, include your company's GSA contract number.
