Description
Amendment 0004 is issued to provide answers to additional questions received. 1) Non-plenum cable shall be allowed in Segment A and Segment B areas. Segment C specifically has a plenum return ventilation system, so this area would require the use of plenum-rated cable. 2) The drawings provided by the Government have a legend that that indicates that a star on the drawing indicates 2 data ports. Of these two ports, is one for data and one for phone or are both ports data ports? Both are data ports 3) If they are both data ports then is there a third port at each location for the phone? Yes, the third port is for phone 4) If there are three ports at each location with two being for data and one being for phone, are all three in the same face plate or is the phone port in a separate face plate? For the most yes, but there are a few locations where there is a separate box for phone. These cases would be in the cubicle areas and the labs in A and B segments. 5) In building A, which room is the data closet? Room A204 6) Are just patch panels needed for the upgrade or are Data racks needed also? Just patch panels racks are provided 7) For the fiber running from building C to building A, I want to confirm that the LC connections are at both ends. Yes, LC on both ends 8) What are the dimensions of Building A, B,and C? Ex (L×W) Vendors had the opportunity to take measurements during the walk through 9) On the Floorplans each star represented 2 ports. Section 2.b.iv states that data ports and voice ports must be differently colored. Does each star represent 1 Data port and 1 voice port? As indicated a star represents 2 data ports the voice port where applicable would be a third port.
