- Sources Sought: SPE303-18-Q-BLOCK_ICE Title: Block Ice for Culinary Art Agency: Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Office: Troop Support Europe & Africa Location: Kleber Kaserne, Kaiserslautern, Germany This is NOT an Invitation for Bid (IFB) or a Request for Quote (RFQ). This Sources Sought is part of ongoing market research conducted by the Government for planning purposes only; it is NOT a solicitation. A solicitation is not being issued at this time and this notice shall be not be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation. The Government will not provide reimbursement for costs associated with this Sources Sought. Responses will be treated as informational only and will not be used as a proposal. Any information provided by industry to the Government as a result of this Sources Sought is strictly voluntary - responses will not be returned. The information obtained from industry responses to this notice may be used in the development of an acquisition strategy and a future RFQ. DLA Troop Support Europe & Africa is exploring the possibility of creating a blanket purchase agreement for the purchase of blocks of ice to be used in support of culinary art functions (clear ice is required). The ice is not meant for consumption. Any future requirement for ice blocks would include FOB destination pricing. Potential delivery locations are US military facilities in Germany, including but not limited to: Stuttgart, Rheinland Pfalz, Bavaria, Ansbach and Wiesbaden. If the need arises to add more delivery locations within Germany, they may be added to the BPA at a later date. Expected period of performance for the BPA is 3 years. If your company is interested in this requirement, please respond to this RFI with a capability statement, including such information as: standard sizes of blocks of ice commercially available, your company's minimum order quantities and any questions you may have.
