Description

Synopsis/solicitation for road grading in Alaska The intent of the contract is to provide for routine road maintenance of National Forest Service Roads near Ketchikan, Alaska. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, and supplies, and perform all work required to maintain the facilities in accordance with the typical cross section drawing and specifications, 811 and 813. The Contractor shall assume all risk, loss, damage, or expense arising out of prosecution of the work, except as otherwise provided in the contract. The Contractor shall (a) commence work under this contract within 10 calendar days after the date the Contractor receives the notice to proceed, (b) prosecute the work diligently, and (c) complete the entire work ready for use not later than 60 days from receipt of notice to proceed. The time stated for completion shall include final cleanup of the premises. Description and Location: The maintenance work to be performed includes surface grading and rolling on Brown Mountain, Connell Lake and Frog Pond roads near Ketchikan, Alaska. All three roads begin are in the Revilla Road area. The work also includes spot placement of contractor-furnished crushed aggregate on the same three roads as directed by the engineer. Contractor must be active in System for Award Management (SAM).
